In keeping with our theme of "first visits to . . ." for these boys, we spent Thursday at the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. Our favorites were the butterfly exhibit, a huge atrium filled with hundreds of free-flying butterflies, and the newly remodeled Journey Into Africa, where we got to see the lions up close. The boys must have had a pretty good time because Ethan's asked me every morning since if we're going to see the animals.
Ethan carefully studied the butterfly guide then looked up and pointed to each kind flying around. He liked to study every sign and picture in front of the exhibits. I have a feeling this will be our museum-lover kid.
