On Saturday we celebrated Ethan's 2nd birthday and Luke's upcoming 1st birthday (on Sept. 26th) with a party at the North Lake Lagoon in Irvine. It was great to get together with family and friends for swimming and BBQ. This party could only have one theme: CARS (Ethan's absolute obsession). He didn't even eat a piece of his birthday cake because he was too busy playing with the plastic cake topper. Luke just had fun digging in (and eating!) the sand. One party highlight was the fishing game, where each kid cast a line to "fish" for their goody bag contents. It's hard to believe we've made it through an entire year with our two little irish twins!
Luke preferred this cardboard box to all his "real presents" inside of it. He cried when we tried to get him out of it. He is still easily pleased at age 1!
